I am Lizzy. You know, like the ax murderer? Except, "Y" instead of "IE". And I have no ax, nor a will to murder anything.
Welcome to the humbly supersonic crevice of the earth that is this little old blog of mine. ♥
People really blow Irene Adler out proportion. I mean, A Scandal in Bohemia takes about ten minutes to read, and Holmes and [Adler] don’t actually converse at length at all.
It’s not like they had some sort of steamy affair, and she left him holding the bag.
When the climax went down, I was like “Seriously?”
Though not to knock Adler, because the disguise business was uncanny. She’s basically an intelligent woman. “The Woman” doesn’t seem to be backed by an interest in her, but rather Holmes getting pissed off over losing (in a sense) to anyone, let alone a woman.
His noticing her “loveliness” doesn’t hold much weight either, considering he admitted the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen was hanged for drowning her children.
